NOVA SCOTIA (AIP)

Atlantic Immigration Program

Overview

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a federally administered, employer-driven permanent residence pathway designed to help Atlantic provinces address long-term labour shortages. In Nova Scotia, the program allows designated employers to support eligible foreign workers and international graduates for permanent residence without requiring a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

AIP applications in Nova Scotia are assessed based on the genuineness of the job offer, the applicant’s qualifications, and the employer’s ability to support settlement and long-term employment.
