Overview

The Skilled Worker Stream supports Nova Scotia employers in retaining foreign workers who have the skills and experience required for long-term employment in the province. This stream applies to both high-skilled and intermediate-skilled occupations.

Who This Stream Is For

This stream is suitable for applicants who:

  • Hold a permanent, full-time job offer from a Nova Scotia employer
  • Have relevant work experience related to the position
  • Intend to live and work permanently in Nova Scotia

Key Eligibility Requirements

Job Offer

  • Permanent, full-time, non-seasonal
  • Duties aligned with the correct NOC
  • Wage meeting or exceeding provincial standards

Applicant

  • Relevant paid work experience
  • Language proficiency appropriate to the occupation
  • Legal status in current country of residence

Employer

  • Actively operating business in Nova Scotia
  • Demonstrated recruitment efforts
  • Compliance with provincial employment standards

Application Process
